MILES OF FREEEDOM

This is the remarkable story of Richard Miles, founder of Miles of Freedom, and a man who was wrongfully incarcerated and transformed his experience into a story of hope.

Miles of Freedom is a Dallas nonprofit which seeks to deal with the entire structure of re-entry when it comes to the previously incarcerated individual coming home. Their mission is to equip, empower, and employ individuals returning home from prison and provide support and assistance for families and communities impacted by incarceration. They offer: job prep skills, financial training, legal assistance, medical assistance, clothing, and more. In any area of re-entry from incarceration, MOF is eager to assist or refer.

In The City For Good established a partnership with Miles of Freedom after learning how important and impactful their program is. It also came as a huge benefit and partnership to our other partnership, Outcry in the Barrio.

Miles of Freedom is currently working together with The City For Good for a local food drive at the Park South YMCA.
